Aaron Wise is an Emmy nominated cinematographer. He was born in Portland Oregon. Earned a BFA in Film/Video from Calarts. Early in his career he worked as a camera assistant, he then spent almost ten years repairing and modifying cameras at Clairmont Camera. Including R&D on their Arri 435 2-perf movement. After several years working as a camera operator on stop-motion TV shows Wise was hired to shoot season 8 of Robot Chicken. He received a daytime Emmy nomination in cinematography for Buddy Thunderstruck. His work on this show was covered in the April 2017 issue of American Cinematographer Magazine. Recent projects; Netflix’s The Cuphead Show, stop-motion sequences for the SpongBob franchise The Patrick Star Show, Animaniacs and Steve Aoki NFTs. He recently completed photography of his first live action feature. Wise is a member of the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences as well as IATSE Local 600.
